Health Line is actively reducing our carbon footprint by digitizing our printed content. This includes converting documents like IFUs into online versions, allowing for easy updates and access. This transition enhances efficiency, saving time and promoting user-friendliness. We exemplify the potential of digital transformation to benefit the environment and boost business performance.
As HLIC, our commitment to sustainability is evident through tangible actions. A significant stride this year was the electronic launch of IFUs, replacing 50% of the paper inserts in our products. This sustainable process offers long-term returns, trimming production costs and optimizing resource utilization.
Our focus extends to enhancing medical workers’ experiences. We’re replacing paper IFUs with user-friendly electronic versions, categorized by language and accessible for future reference. This digital shift aligns with our core values and future outlook.
Our aim is clear: to make a positive environmental impact in the industry by curbing paper waste and reducing printing.
August 2024
In addition to our ongoing efforts, we’ve made a key improvement by removing the plastic lid from our vascular access catheter basic trays. This change significantly reduces plastic usage while maintaining the quality or safety of our products, aligning with the latest practice recommendations and our commitment to environmental responsibility.
September 2025
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, HLIC reduced tray sizes in select U.S. product lines in September 2025. By optimizing packaging dimensions, we were able to decrease material usage and improve shipping efficiency while maintaining product protection and quality standards.
February 2026
HLIC reduced the overall plastic thickness used in our trays. This change helps lower plastic consumption while maintaining the safety and performance of our products, supporting our commitment to reducing environmental impact.
April 2026
HLIC updated the packaging for our hemodialysis product line by removing shelf cartons. This adjustment helps reduce unnecessary packaging materials and overall waste while maintaining product protection and quality.
We believe these initiatives not only help reduce waste but also underscore our dedication to providing high-quality, reliable solutions for your vascular access needs.
